The Ecological Oral Histories Project is a collaborative effort that ties together history, journalism, the environmental sciences, and photography. It has only been possible because of the involvement of participants from numerous programs at Northern Arizona University, including:
- The School of Communication
- Master of Arts in Sustainable Communities Program
- Landsward Institute
- Cline Library
- Bilby Research Center
- Northern Arizona Writing Project
- Department of Biological Sciences
- Department of History
Principal funding for the Ecological Oral Histories Project has come from the State of Arizona Technology and Research Initiative Fund, funded by sales tax revenues approved through Proposition 301. Additional support has come from the Arizona Humanities Council, the NAU Faculty Grants Program, the Arizona Historical Society, and Jenny McKenzie Foundation.
